about

Visitor Kane - the unassuming supergroup of Copenhagen’s underground - are ready with their third album “At Issue”, which pays homage to a myriad of rock music’s golden pinnacles.

Visitor Kane is a band always in search of new grounds. Over the past five years they have undergone a series of iterations. Releasing their first album “Easy Concern” as a two-piece with an emphasis on new wave sounds, drummachines and a crooning voice, they soon transformed into a fully electrified five-piece rock outfit. As a result, their second album “Change of Heart” showcased a sonic turn. Drummachines and synths were replaced with acoustic guitars, old casio organs and drums, lending the album a substantially different vibe compared to its predecessor, favoring a sound reminiscent of the dustier niches of American rock.

Three years on, Visitor Kane are ready for new adventures in the form of their third album titled “At Issue”. Still centered around the songwriting of central figure Patrick Kociszewski, the album sees the band elaborate on their rock setup, referencing a wide palette of particularly 1960’s and 1970’s rock to present a guitar-driven album that is as diverse as it is coherent. Lyrically, “At Issue” is a humble look into different aspects of human interaction within the boundaries of society. Patrick eleborates: “At Issue is me trying to describe the world and its affairs through abstraction. The world can be tough to comprehend so it seemed fitting to do so. The fact that the world can be so hard to fathom means that the album can maybe come across as a bit pessimistic, which is something I try hard not to be. On the contrary, I find that there’s a bright side to almost anything. For me, the title represents this very well with its dualistic nature. On one side it’s analogue as hell, while on the other, it’s all about ones and zeroes…”
